Brianna
Brianna is a dedicated professional residing in Pitt County with six years of experience in the Recreational Therapy field. Her passion lies in advocating for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities to enhance their quality of leisure life. Brianna's expertise includes working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and advocating for persons served. As a community doula, Brianna focuses on empowering you to embrace your voice and advocate for your needs as the birthing person. She is excited to bring her skills and experience to serve Pitt and Greene County, aiming to assist you in achieving the holistic birthing experience you desire.
Martin County
Margaret
Margaret is a newly trained Doula for the Martin County Area. She is very excited about being able to offer continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to the expecting mothers. She loves to help people and will do her very best to advise, inform, and offer emotional and physical comfort to all new mothers. She will be a great resource to the expectant mother and their partners throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and beyond. She looks forward to working with you!

Rachana
Rachana is a recent graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor's in Biology and a minor in Gender studies. She currently lives in Charlotte, NC in Mecklenburg County but will serve patients across eastern North Carolina. Rachana has been a volunteer doula at ECU Health since October 2021. She has supported 13 patients directly while they were giving birth as a part of this program.
Rachana is currently a trained doula working on her DONA certification. She would love to help support you during your pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum. She provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support throughout your journey. Rachana loves working with clients so they feel prepared and well-informed about their decisions. Her goal is to deliver non-judgemental support while meeting your needs through advocacy and providing resources. She wants this to be an empowering experience that fosters a connection between you, your body, and your baby. She also involves your support systems to help in this process. She wants to ensure that birthing people have access to a doula regardless of socioeconomic status, race, and other factors. She looks forward to working with you!

Melba
Melba is a dedicated community-based doula with a heartfelt passion for offering comprehensive support to individuals and families. Her mission is to ensure that you receive not only the medical care you need, but also the compassionate guidance and understanding that can truly make a difference during this challenging time.
Melba's approach to doula care is rooted in a holistic perspective. She also enjoys assisting families that are embarking on the journey of high-risk pregnancies affected by genetic disorders, as she has personal experiences with a high risk pregnancy. Beyond the clinical aspects, she provides emotional support, companionship, and an open heart to listen. She understands that each aspect of your journey is interconnected, and she's committed to nurturing your overall well-being.
Melba firmly believes in the strength of the community. Through a network of support, Melba connects you with local resources, support groups, and organizations that can enhance your journey. You are not alone on this path, and together, Melba will assist in building a network that uplifts and empowers you. As your doula, Melba is dedicated to helping you make informed decisions that align with your values, beliefs, and desires. She also offers educational sessions that help demystify genetic disorders and high-risk pregnancies, empowering you to understand your situation more deeply.

Jasmine
Jasmine is a dedicated doula trained by DONA International. She is committed to providing compassionate and personalized support to mothers-to-be in Pitt, Nash & Edgecombe counties. Her mission is deeply rooted in addressing the profound disparities in maternal health, especially among underserved communities. She works diligently to offer care and guidance throughout your pregnancy, labor, and postpartum journey. She believes that together we can make a significant impact in our community by empowering clients and ensuring a safe, positive, and nurturing birthing experience.
Pitt, Greene, and Lenoir Counties
Maame Fosua
Maame Fosua is a recent graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor's in public health. She lives in Pitt County and can serve patients across Pitt, Greene, and Lenoir counties. She has been a volunteer doula at ECU Health since July 2023. She has supported several patients directly during their birth experiences (and hopes to do the same for you!). She is currently a trained doula working on her DONA certification and would love to help support you during your pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum. She provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support throughout your journey. Her love for planning will ensure clients feel comfortable and well-informed about their decisions. Her goal is to deliver holistic support while meeting client needs through advocacy and resources regardless of socioeconomic status, race, or ethnicity. She looks forward to meeting and working with you!

As a Community Doula, De’Voncia aims to create a safe and supportive environment for birthing individuals, allowing them to have their desired birthing experience. As a mother, she understands the profound significance of this experience and the importance of having compassionate care, trust, and factual information. She wants to embark on this incredible journey together by creating a birthing experience filled with knowledge, empowerment, confidence, and positivity.
